CommunityDays.org is a nonprofit, led by me and a team of organizers. It's a free place where community events across Microsoft technologies can post and reach a bigger audience: SharePoint Saturdays, Microsoft 365 (M365) Community Days, Power Platform and Azure events, and more. We're constantly improving the site and adding new features, and all of the work is done by volunteers.
How it started#
When SPSEvents.org shut down, it left a real hole. That site had been the central hub for SharePoint Saturdays and Microsoft community events for years. Organizers relied on it, speakers browsed it to find events to submit to, and attendees used it to see what was happening near them.
Community Days launched in October 2022 to fill that gap. SoHo Dragon sponsored the effort, Microsoft backed it, and Jeff Teper announced the launch at Ignite. The idea has always been simple: give organizers a place to list their events and give everyone else a place to find them.
Free for organizers#
The event listings, the call-for-sponsorship tools and the Speakerboard are all free. The moment you start putting barriers in front of community, it stops being community.
Volunteer with us#
We’re looking for volunteers. Community Days doesn’t run on one person. It runs on a group of people who show up: reviewing new events, promoting the platform, flagging bugs, and helping keep things funded and running.
You don’t need to be a developer, and you can give as much or as little time as you have. If you’d like to help, fill in the short volunteer form and tell us how you’d like to pitch in.

Other ways to get involved#
- List your event on CommunityDays.org.
- Browse the Speakerboard at CommunityDays.org/speakerboard. Speakers who present at community events are listed automatically, so other organizers can find them.
- Sponsor a community event through the call-for-sponsorship listings.
- Just show up. Attend an event near you. That’s how most of us got started.
